Grace Easley
Grace Easley brings warmth, artistry, and global inspiration to Camp Coletrain 2025 as the lead instructor for our Strings & Song Youth Workshop. A classically trained violinist and violist, Grace began her musical journey at age six and later earned her degree in viola performance from Missouri State University, where she also developed a passion for violin improvisation.
As one half of the nationally touring folk duo Roma Ransom, Grace has performed on stages across the country and contributed music to creative campaigns for brands like Patagonia, Yeti, and Vice. Her sound is rooted in tradition but colored by a wide spectrum of global folk styles, giving young musicians a unique and exciting musical foundation.
Grace is also a dedicated educator with a student-centered approach, emphasizing personalized instruction and creative exploration. She’s no stranger to Camp Coletrain—having led pop-up workshops in the past—and we’re thrilled to welcome her this year in a more central role. Her approachable teaching style and deep musical experience make her an inspiring guide for the next generation of string players.
